Gli Oresund Space Collective sono un collettivo musicale formato da oltre 30 musicisti che girano e ruotano a seconda del momento, insomma un gruppo aperto come si dice in questi casi.
I musicisti che compongono questo strano ma interessante progetto, provengono dalla Danimarca, Svezia e Stati Uniti; nati nel 2005 da una idea di Jocke Jönsson, hanno pubblicato un numero spaventoso tra dischi, dvd, live e compilation, e quasi tutto il materiale è auto prodotto.
Visions Of … è l’ultimo nato dell’Oresund Space Collective, uscito il 5 dicembre 2016, il disco è composto da quattro movimenti, il primo dal minutaggio davvero improbo 42 minuti, ma si sa, quando suoni un certo tipo di musica il tempo scorre veloce, space rock, progressive, jazz rock, il disco è, come per gli altri, tutto improvvisato in studio.
Ascoltare la loro musica è davvero un viaggio nello spazio sterminato, dove è ridondante quell’idea di musica che tanto andava negli anni settanta, lunghe cavalcate strumentali senza inizio e se possibile senza fine; la libertà al potere, la musica senza limiti e che deborda su pianeti desertici, fatti di strane forme montuose inimmaginabili.
