Un fatto è certo, il 2019 verrà ricordato come “l’anno dei cofanetti mostruosamente grandi”, tra i tanti abbiamo parlato anche di: High Hopes dei Pink Floyd, Origin of Muse, Woodstock il 50esimo anniversario, Prince 1999, James Taylor periodo Warner Bros.
Questa volta ce la prendiamo (si fa per dire), con i mitici pelatoni nonni Gentle Giant; ebbene, la band dei fratelli Shulman pubblicherà “Unburied Treasure” un mastodontico cofanetto contenente 30 CD in tiratura limitata di sole 2000 copie, il prezzo si aggira intorno ai 400 €.
Nel paccone ci saranno gli 11 + 1 dischi pubblicato dalla band, 15 album live (alcuni mai pubblicati) due cd di inediti e Blu Ray 5.1 HQ rimixato da Steven Wilson, un bel librone di di 136 pagine con foto rare e inedite, due posters e altri gadgets sparsi.
Comprarlo o non comprarlo!? Avendo la ipotetica possibilità di spendere 400 € tutte d’un colpo beh, personalmente investirei il malloppo su altre cose, attenzione!! I dischi dei Gentle Giant sono dei capolavori senza se e senza ma, va però da se che avendoli già tutti in vinile e alcuni anche in cd, mi dirigerei su altri dischi ma si sa, tutti i gusti sono gusti.
